Integrating Technology in the Pharmaceutical Sector, Dexa Medica Achieves INDI 4.0 Award

The innovative efforts of PT Dexa Medica in research and technology development to produce high-quality pharmaceutical products have earned recognition from the government. PT Dexa Medica received the Indonesia Industry 4.0 Readiness Index (INDI 4.0) 2024 award from the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia.

The INDI 4.0 2024 award was presented by the Minister of Industry, Mr. Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, to the President Director of PT Dexa Medica, Mr. V. Hery Sutanto, in Jakarta, on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.

The Minister of Industry explained that the INDI 4.0 award recipients were evaluated based on several criteria, including reducing energy consumption by 4% to 40%, increasing productivity by 5% to 22%, and lowering production costs by 3% to 78%.

According to the World Competitiveness Ranking 2024, Indonesia’s industrial competitiveness improved from 34th place in 2023 to 27th place in 2024, driven by innovation growth.

“By implementing pioneering technological innovations, industries can enhance efficiency by 11% to 48%, thereby boosting the competitiveness of their products. I hope more industries will create innovations so that we can achieve national independence and strengthen global competitiveness,” said the Minister of Industry after presenting the INDI 4.0 awards.

Mr. V. Hery stated that PT Dexa Medica, as one of the national pharmaceutical companies, remains committed to providing high-quality products, one of which is through the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies.

Some examples of the implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies at PT Dexa Medica include dynamic planning using XPOSE smart planning, smart manufacturing, dynamic adaptive manufacturing systems, and Das-i, or data and analytic system intelligence.

“With the rapid development of technology and the increasingly complex market demands, the company recognizes the need to adopt Industry 4.0 principles by enhancing innovation and competitiveness to promote national industrial independence,” concluded Mr. V. Hery.
