In collaboration with the Atma Jaya Catholic University of Jakarta, Dexa Group inaugurated the Center for Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical Research and Policy (CPNRP), a research and policy center under the Atma Jaya University Rectorate.
This inauguration is part of Dexa Group’s commitment to promoting innovation in the healthcare sector and contributing to the development of health policies in Indonesia.
“Thank you to Prof. Raymond and the team for initiating this center. Hopefully, it will lead Atma Jaya to its golden years and support Indonesia’s 2045 vision,” stated Prof. Yuda.
Present at the inauguration of CPNRP were the Rector of Atma Jaya Catholic University, Prof. Dr. dr. Yuda Turana, Sp.S (K), Vice-Rector for Innovation, Research, Cooperation, and Alumni Yanti, Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Academics, Student Affairs, and Human Resources Dr. Yohanes Eko Adi Prasetyanto, S.Si, Dean of the Faculty of Biotechnology Yogiara, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Dr. dr. Felicia Kurniawan, M.Kes., University Secretary Dr. rer. nat. Agustina Dwi Retno Nurcahyanti, S.Si., M.Si., M.Sc., and Atma Jaya faculty and students.
There were also representatives from Dexa Group, including Business Development and Scientific Affairs Director Prof. Raymond Tjandrawinata, Quality Management Director Antonia Retno Tyas Utami, Corporate Affairs Director Tarcisius Tanto Randy, and Dexa Group Commissioner Roy Ibrahim.
The inauguration of this research center aims to enhance scientific contributions in pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals, which aligns with the growing demand for innovative and effective health solutions in Indonesia.
Prof. Raymond and Atma Jaya representatives conducted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the official opening of the CPNRP research center.
“To achieve national resilience, we must be ready to produce our medicines, our supplements, and ensure that Indonesia’s food supply is sufficient. This is why Atma Jaya must have a research center that covers not only pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals but also health policy,” emphasized Prof. Raymond.
Through this collaboration, Dexa Group and Atma Jaya Catholic University hope to produce impactful research, both in developing pharmaceutical products and products that align with societal needs and in shaping national health policies.
During her presentation, Quality Management Director Antonia Retno Tyas Utami explained the research methods in pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals. She highlighted the importance of turning research outcomes into beneficial products.
“These are things we need to pay attention to so that our research does not just end up as books or publications but becomes actual products,” said Ms. Retno.
Dexa Award for Outstanding Graduates
Through Dharma Dexa, the Dexa Group also presented the Dexa Award to two top graduates from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
The awards were given to Cathleen Rebecca, the best pharmacy program graduate, and Jennifer Indra Marvella, the top biotechnology program graduate.
Corporate Affairs Director of Dexa Group, Mr. Tarcisius Tanto Randy, presented the awards to the recipients. This recognition is part of Dexa Group’s appreciation for outstanding young talents who are expected to contribute to improving the quality of medicines in Indonesia.
