Karawang, July 20, 2025 — Dexa Medica continues its commitment to public health by hosting another free “Cek Segitiga” health screening program, this time reaching residents at Karangpawitan Field, Karawang on Sunday (July 20, 2025). More than half of the screening participants were found to be at high risk for chronic diseases—a striking reminder of the importance of early health awareness, even among younger, working-age adults.
The event welcomed 520 participants, who underwent health checks covering blood pressure, cholesterol, and random blood glucose levels. Of that number, 301 participants (57.88%) were categorized as high risk, having abnormal results in at least one of the health parameters.

Alarming Blood Sugar Levels Among Young Adults
Among the findings, high blood pressure (≥140/90 mmHg) was the most common condition, detected in 185 participants, followed by elevated cholesterol (≥199 mg/dL) in 139 participants, and 100 participants (23.6%) recorded high random blood glucose levels (≥130 mg/dL).
General Practitioner at Bayukarta Hospital Karawang Dr. Hetty Marpaung emphasized the need to take high blood sugar levels seriously—especially among the younger population.
“I saw several young participants with high blood sugar levels. This can result from poor eating habits, lack of exercise, and unhealthy lifestyles—though genetics can also play a role. To get more accurate results, they should follow up with fasting blood sugar, two-hour post-meal tests, and HbA1c measurements,” she explained.
Dr. Hetty also highlighted the importance of regular health checkups. “Ideally, medical checkups should be done every six months to help detect potential health issues early.”
A Collective Effort to Support Public Health
Director of PT Beta Pharmacon Gatot Prayitno shared his gratitude in contributing to the initiative:
“We’re proud to take part in this program that supports public health. As part of Dexa Group, Beta Pharmacon manufactures generic drugs that meet the essential medicine needs of Indonesia’s National Health Insurance (JKN) program—now covering over 98% of the population,” he said.
Senior Sales Manager OGB at Dexa Medica Bayu Pangarso, emphasized the scale and consistency of the campaign.
“Cek Segitiga has reached seven locations so far and will continue to twelve by year-end. The public enthusiasm in Karawang was truly inspiring. We remain committed to supporting government efforts in early detection of non-communicable diseases.”
Out of the high-risk participants, 99 individuals (32.89%) moved on to medical consultations—70 via online consultations and 29 in person. Participants were also able to receive digital prescriptions through dKonsul, Dexa’s digital health consultation platform.
Wellness Activities and Health Education
In addition to the screening, the event featured health education sessions by the CHD Karawang team and a poundfit workout session in collaboration with Stimuno.
Azril Nurfiruri, CHD Karawang Regional Leader shared: “We provided health education and encouraged the community to maintain strong immunity. The energy was amazing—from group workouts to free checkups. We hope this brings a positive impact to Karawang.”
A female participant shared her experience. “It was such a great event! After exercising, I got a free health check and even won a prize. I learned my blood pressure, cholesterol, and sugar levels. Big thanks to Stimuno and Cek Segitiga!”
