As part of its preventive health efforts and to raise public awareness on the importance of early detection for chronic diseases, Dexa Medica—through its Corporate Social Initiative, *Dharma Dexa*—once again held the free health screening program Cek Segitiga. This time, the event was held in collaboration with Al Islam Hospital Bandung at Lapangan Gasibu, Bandung, on Sunday, May 18, 2025.

A total of 557 Bandung residents participated in the event, and alarmingly, 73%—or roughly 7 out of 10 participants—were found to be at risk for one or more of three major chronic conditions: hypertension, diabetes, and high cholesterol.

Dr. Iman Nurrachman from Al Islam Hospital Bandung emphasized the need for regular health screening programs like this, as they have proven effective in uncovering undiagnosed conditions.

“This is a positive initiative that should be carried out regularly. From what I observed today, many people discovered new health issues—some with diabetes, others with high blood pressure. They initially thought they were healthy, but after being screened here, the results revealed otherwise,” explained Dr. Iman.

High Cholesterol Levels Were Most Common

Screening data from the event revealed that 45.9% of participants had cholesterol levels above the normal threshold (>199 mg/dL). Additionally, 44.5% had high blood pressure (>140/90 mmHg), and 9.6% had elevated blood glucose levels over 130 mg/dL at the time of testing.

According to Dexa Medica’s Marketing Communication Associate Manager, Mr. Dhandy Dwi Yustica, this initiative reflects Dexa Medica’s ongoing commitment to supporting Indonesia’s national agenda on non-communicable disease (NCD) prevention while broadening access to preventive healthcare services—particularly for those in their productive years.

“This is the fourth Cek Segitiga event in 2025. Dexa Medica remains consistent in supporting government health programs by conducting regular screenings. Our goal is to stay connected to the communities we serve,” said Mr. Dhandy.

Meanwhile, Dharma Dexa Manager Mr. Mateus Ramidi reaffirmed that this program will continue reaching communities with a practical and impactful approach.

“We believe that big changes can start with small steps, such as getting a simple health check. Through Dharma Dexa, we want to be part of that change—realizing our commitment to Expertise for the Promotion of Health in a tangible way,” said Mr. Mateus.

To date, Cek Segitiga has reached more than 6,600 individuals across seven major cities in Indonesia. Dexa Medica is committed to expanding the reach of this program to even more regions as part of its concrete contribution to the national movement for NCD prevention and the improvement of public health across the country.
