Dexa Group, through PT Dexa Medica, received the Indonesia Halal Industry Award (IHYA) 2024 from the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) in the Best Halal Supply Chain category. This award recognizes Dexa Medica’s commitment to supporting Indonesia’s halal industry ecosystem.
The award was presented by Kemenperin’s Secretary-General, Mr. Eko SA Cahyanto, to the President Director of PT Dexa Medica, Mr. V. Hery Sutanto, during the Halal Indo 2024 event held at ICE BSD, Tangerang, on Friday, September 27, 2024. The ceremony was witnessed by Indonesia’s Minister of Industry, Mr. Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita.
“This award proves that Dexa always provides quality, safe, and halal pharmaceutical products to consumers, from raw material procurement to the final product,” stated Mr. Hery after receiving the award.
The event was also attended by PT Medela Potentia’s CEO, Mr. Krestijanto Pandji, Dexa Group’s Quality Management Director, Ms. Antonia Retno Tyas Utami, and Head of Quality, System, and Risk at PT Dexa Medica, Mr. Effendy. This is the second time Dexa Group has received the IHYA award.
Minister of Industry, Mr. Agus Gumiwang, highlighted the potential of Indonesia’s halal market in his remarks following the award presentation. According to him, national economic growth must be driven by the Islamic economy in the future.
“The halal industry is showing increasingly positive performance. In the first quarter of 2024, the halal value chain sector grew by 1.94% year-on-year, with the food and beverage sector and modest fashion recording growth of 5.87% and 3.81%, respectively,” said the Minister.
Minister Visits Dexa Group Booth
During the event, the Minister of Industry also visited the Dexa Group booth, where he was welcomed by Mr. Hery and Mr. Krestijanto.
The booth showcased the company’s production facilities, which implement the Smart Pharma Factory 4.0 concept. Products with a high Domestic Component Level (TKDN), such as Modern Indonesian Medicines (OMAI), were also displayed. Medical devices produced by PT Deca Metric Medica were featured at the booth.
The Minister expressed his support for Dexa Group’s development of OMAI. Before leaving, the Minister posed for a photo with Mr. Hery and Mr. Krestijanto.
