Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin has set a target for 60–70 million Indonesians to receive free health screenings by 2025. In support of this initiative, PT Dexa Medica continues to contribute through its Cek Segitiga Gratis program, which recently took place at the Car Free Day area on Boulevard Makassar, Sunday, October 26, 2025.

The event received an enthusiastic response from Makassar residents, with more than 400 participants taking part in free checks for blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood glucose levels. This marks the 10th location of the program in 2025, reinforcing Dexa Medica’s ongoing commitment to supporting the government’s efforts in expanding early detection of non-communicable diseases (NCDs).

According to the screening data, 311 participants—or 73.6%—were identified as being at high risk for chronic diseases. Specifically, 43.6% had hypertension, 42.4% had elevated cholesterol levels, and 16.3% were at risk of diabetes.

Dr. Richardo, a general practitioner at Stella Marris Hospital Makassar, noted that many participants discovered their health conditions for the first time through this program. “Many residents were found to have high blood pressure but had never had it checked before. Today, blood pressure monitors are easily accessible, even available at pharmacies for free use. Programs like this are essential to continue so that people can be aware of their condition early and seek proper treatment,” he explained.

He further emphasized that modern lifestyles contribute to the rising prevalence of NCDs. “Fast food consumption, highly processed meals, stress, and work demands are major contributing factors. Therefore, maintaining a healthy diet and getting regular health checks must become a routine habit,” added Dr. Richardo.

According to Dharma Dexa Manager, Mr. Mateus Ramidi, the initiative is part of a series of free health check programs organized by PT Dexa Medica in collaboration with OGB Dexa and Dharma Dexa since 2024. The program aligns with the government’s efforts to increase public awareness through promotive and preventive approaches.

“This program is vital in helping people identify their health risks early. We hope residents in Makassar and other cities take advantage of the opportunity to join OGB Dexa’s free health check,” said Mr. Mateus.

One participant, Mr. Masduki, expressed his gratitude after joining the Cek Segitiga event and learning that his blood pressure required further medical attention. “This event is very beneficial for the community, and I hope it continues in the future. The service was excellent—everything was free and well-organized. Thank you, Dexa Medica,” he said.

Since its inception in 2024, the program has reached 14 locations across 10 major cities, including Jakarta, South Tangerang, Bogor, Bandung, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Solo, Karawang, Palembang, and Makassar. As of October 2025, more than 11,150 people have benefited from the free screening services.

The Cek Segitiga program embodies Dexa Group’s philosophy, Expertise for the Promotion of Health. Through this initiative, Dexa Medica aims to educate the public that simple steps—such as checking blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar levels—can be the starting point for preventing chronic diseases.
