In celebration of its 55th anniversary, Dexa Medica, through Dharma Dexa, has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) in enhancing public health in Papua by providing a donation of medicines.

The medicines were handed over by Mr. Krestijanto Pandji, President Director of PT Medela Potentia (a member of Dexa Group), to the TNI Chief of General Staff, Lt. Gen. Bambang Ismawan, at the TNI Headquarters in Cilangkap, East Jakarta, on Thursday, August 1, 2024.

This donation follows Dharma Dexa’s previous contribution of medicines donation to the Kostrad at Makostrad, Cilodong, Depok, on February 15, 2024.

Attendees included several high-ranking TNI officials: TNI Inspector General Admiral Dadi Hartanto, TNI Operations Assistant Major General Gabriel Lema, Deputy Head of TNI Health Center Rear Admiral Dr. dr. R.M. Tjahja Nurrobi, M.Kes., Sp. OT (K) Hand., and Colonel Ckm. dr. The TNI Chief of General Staff expressed gratitude to Dexa Medica for the donation, which will be distributed to TNI personnel stationed in Papua for use in treating the local community.

“Thank you to Dexa Medica for the medicine donation. Dexa Medica and the TNI have a strong relationship because Dexa Medica’s founder, Mr. Rudy Soetikno, was formerly an Army soldier,” emphasized Lt. Gen. Bambang Ismawan.

He further stated that synergy between the TNI, government, and private sectors is essential.

Dexa Medica’s Contribution to Health

Dexa Medica contributes to the National Health Insurance (JKN) program by providing branded generic medicines by Dexa Medica, which is OGBdexa. Additionally, to support the independence of the national pharmaceutical industry, Dexa Medica manufactures medicines based on innovations from Dexa Laboratories of Biomolecular Sciences (DLBS), using raw materials from Indonesia’s biodiversity, known as Indonesia Indigenous Modern Medicine (OMAI).

“The donated OGBdexa medicines include antihypertensives, pain relievers, antifungal treatments, and anti-inflammatories, which will be used by TNI personnel to treat the Papua community in need,” explained Mr. Tarcisius.

Mr. Krestijanto Pandji noted that Dexa Medica was founded by Lt. Col. (Ret.) CKM. Drs. Rudy Soetikno, Apt, a pharmacist and former TNI soldier. During his service at Kesdam IV Sriwijaya, Palembang, Mr. Rudy was instructed with providing medicines amid shortages for troops in Palembang, leading to the establishment of Dexa in 1969.

“Dexa Medica was born from a TNI soldier, so we are committed to continuously synergizing with the TNI to improve public health,” said Mr. Krestijanto.
