Dexa Group received the Indonesia Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility Award 2024 for Integrating Social Initiatives through Public Health Improvement Programs in the Healthcare Industry category from Warta Ekonomi.co.id. This award was given for Dexa Group’s commitment to implementing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) within its business activities, which contribute to economic growth and the potential recovery of the national economy in the health sector, while also addressing environmental, socio-economic, and educational aspects.

The award was accepted by Dexa Group’s Corporate Supply Chain Director, Mr. Anton Harjanto, and presented by Warta Ekonomi’s CEO and Chief Editor, Mr. Muhammad Ihsan, at the Indonesia CSR Awards 2024 event. The event, witnessed by the Director-General of Pollution and Environmental Damage Control at Indonesia’s Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Mr. Sigit Reliantoro, took place in Jakarta on Friday, September 27, 2024.

Mr. Muhammad Ihsan expressed his hope that through this award, companies in various sectors would continue to enhance their implementation of corporate social responsibility programs, focusing on sustainability and addressing challenges through social and environmental innovation.

“This award is based on a survey that scores and ranks companies. We evaluate the best practices from each company. We look at environmental, social, economic, and educational responsibility performance. Out of the 300 companies we initially selected, we conducted in-depth research on 260,” explained Mr. Muhammad Ihsan.

Meanwhile, Mr. Sigit noted the current trends in CSR implementation. “The trend is shifting from ESG to becoming mandatory, with the concept of social innovation now emerging and being acknowledged by the financial sector through the issuance of green taxonomy, aimed at addressing climate change,” Mr. Sigit remarked.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Anton thanked Warta Ekonomi for recognizing Dexa Group. “Coincidentally, today is Dexa Group’s 55th anniversary. This award is a special gift for us. We hope this recognition motivates us to improve further and continue contributing as a company committed to providing quality, effective, and safe medicines,” said Mr. Anton.

Mr. Anton also expressed gratitude to the leadership and all Dexa employees involved in ESG activities and external communications. “Hopefully, this award will serve as motivation for Dexa Group to become stronger and more resilient in delivering sustainable positive impacts,” concluded Mr. Anton.
