JAKARTA — Dexa Group’s consistent commitment to sustainability in the pharmaceutical sector has earned the company the Anugerah Ekonomi Hijau (Green Economy Award) from Indonesia national media, detikcom. The award was given in the Green Pharmacy category for the development of Obat Modern Asli Indonesia (OMAI), which combines pharmaceutical innovation with environmental care.
The award was presented by detikcom’s Deputy Editor-in-Chief and Director of Collaboration, Mr. Elvan Dany Sutrisno, to Dexa Group’s Corporate Supply Chain & Sustainability Director, Mr. Anton Harjanto, at the Bank Mega Tower Auditorium, South Jakarta, on Thursday, August 14, 2025. The ceremony was witnessed by detikNetwork CEO, Mr. Abdul Aziz, and detikcom Editor-in-Chief, Mr. Alvito Deanova Gintings.
Mr. Anton Harjanto said the award is a recognition of Dexa Group’s commitment to providing safe, effective, high-quality, and environmentally friendly medicines, in line with the company’s core purpose, Expertise for the Promotion of Health.
“Our commitment is not only to human health, but also to environmental preservation,” he said.
According to Mr. Anton, the Green Pharmacy principle is implemented through various initiatives, including the use of solar panels, conversion of solar-based boilers to cleaner natural gas, and the utilization of natural ingredients from Indonesia’s biodiversity for OMAI innovation.
“We also process production waste into fertilizer or animal feed, minimizing our environmental footprint,” he added.
In his opening remarks, detikcom Editor-in-Chief, Mr. Alvito Deanova Gintings, said the Green Economy Award is a form of appreciation for companies, communities, and government bodies that demonstrate environmental care. Winners are determined through data monitoring, media tracking, social media analysis, and other independent information sources.
